Susan Wells
I received my call in March of 1999. The caller didn't have to identify Himself. I knew His voice. He spoke with authority. It was the Chief Commander and He was calling me from central base. During that call, I was given my assignment.

What is my assignment? I have been given the assignment to help the Commander complete His mission to heal and save. I also have orders straight from the top to be the personal trainer for cancer soldiers at Spiritual Boot Camp (SBC).

What are my qualifications? I don't have any degrees, worldly education, or letters after my name. My only qualification is that I have been chosen by God. Therefore, God has had the responsibility to equip me through His resources for my assignment.

Personal data? Let me share some personal information about myself. I am a Christian soldier and a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with stage two invasive breast cancer in 1998. Then, in the year 2000, another cancerous tumor was found on my chest wall. I've been through two surgeries, chemotherapy twice, and radiation once. BUMMER!

Why do I have such a great passion to help train cancer soldiers? When Nixon launched War on Cancer in 1971, I had no idea that one day I would be drafted. I've longed to see this enemy defeated. I've had to watch helplessly while friends and family members were attacked. Then, the day came when I was fighting on the front line. My life was at stake. I made the decision to proceed with conventional treatment, but I strongly believe that my healing came from God. I received spiritual and emotional healing from the Lord, which allowed my physical body to heal. Because of my personal experience, I feel led to train other soldiers to know what they can do spiritually during their battles.

I believe God's Word, which states He is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). If the Lord was willing to heal me, then He is willing to heal others. I have a passion to help cancer soldiers find healing through Jesus Christ. My personal testimony proves that the Lord desires to heal, and spiritual healing can play a role in physical healing. I believe that bringing the internal state to one of peace can help assist the body's natural healing process. This is accomplished through spirituality.

Current cancer treatment focuses of the physical, and I desire to let soldiers know what they can do spiritually. I believe in the spiritual approach to healing, which is healing from the inside out. God ordained the spirit to sustain the body and through the spirit we receive God's healing power.

My book, Spiritual Boot Camp for The Brave Cancer Soldier is essential for all soldiers who have not yet received healing. I share my testimony and insights I have received in regard to cancer. I agree and totally understand why God sees such a need for emotional and spiritual healing with cancer soldiers. Most cancer soldiers I have met have a greater fight going on than with the physical body. The greater fight is the fight within the soul. God ordained this ministry to complete His mission to rescue, heal, free, deliver, and restore.

God continued to teach and heal me while I was writing this book. He healed me of wrong beliefs that were standing in my way of enjoying an abundant life. He taught me about the healing power of love. He trained me to teach others that forgiveness and making peace with God, others, and ourselves is a vital part of spiritual healing.

I desire to hear from other soldiers regarding their battles, the role stress played in their disease process, and how spirituality has helped bring healing. If you desire to do that, you may contact me through email at:
